Gluten Free Cake Sunday Poetry: Annabel Lee Cake

After much research, we finally discovered the much-loved book "Best remembered poems", which we will now call "Best remembered poems & gluten-free cakes".

There it was, at the very carelessly folded page, one of the most beautiful poetries ever written, (also masterfully translated into Albanian language by FAN Noli), "Annabel Lee". The poem by Edgar Allan Poe is thought to have been dedicated to his wife, Virginia, who passed away at a very young age. A funny thought crossed my mind, "Apart from the wonderful verses, what gluten-free dessert would he have cooked for her beloved one?" I know, I know, it’s a silly thing, but such thoughts come to my uncontrollable mind once in a while (we are neither the first nor the last), especially on Sundays. But it was with a great pain that I immediately gave up on my dreams and decided to bake the "Annabel Lee" cake. This will be a weekly practice, which means, every Sunday I’ll cook a cake named after a poem, because I love love e dying to create new traditions, not forgetting of course to enjoy the old ones.

“Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night.”
Edgar Allan Poe, Eleonora "
